Hoy un clásico de clásicos, si los hay. 'Tim' de "Los Reemplazos", un infaltable en la discografia universitaria de los 90's. El mejor ejemplo de este j'ne-seis-quai de los chicos de Minneapolis, una mezcla entre 80's pop, punk y indie rock que inspiro a mas de uno (Green Day, Nirvana, y dicen que hasta La Polla misma era fanática de su sonido!). Si no sabias, ahora sabes. Escuchale!

Today a classic amongst classics, if there's any this is one. Tim from The Replacements, a must for every college kid in the late 80's/early 90's. This album is the best example of this I-dont-know-what from the Minneapolis guys; a mix between 80's pop, punk and indie rock that inspired quite a few people (Green Day and Nirvana amongst them). Today I'm making a confession: I bring to you one of my many guilty pleasures. Shamanes Crew from Chile has a very sharp style; a sort of dancehall with elements from Latin music (Spanish guitars, reggaeton vibes) and a few pop sensibilities, everything quite catchy. I have to admit I've been secretly listening to these guys non-stop for about a year now.


Hoy una confesión: les traigo uno de mis tantos placeres culposos. Los Shamanes Crew de Chile tienen un sonido bastante pulido; una suerte de dancehall con elementos de la música latina (guitarras españolas, reggaeton) y sutilezas del pop, todo bastante pegajoso. Tengo que admitir que he estado escuchando este disco secretamente sin parar por casi ya un año.

Hello neighbors! Here you have the record that followed the almost personal side project of 'Juan Manuel', this duo from Monterrey put out this record that didn't have the distribution past records had pero had a ton of singles with their own music video and everything. But what's really interesting about this record are the "other" songs, the songs that didn't make it into the radio, the more calm, collected and cool stuff, really groovy stuff. A record from 2005 to revisit or check out for the first time, and to truly understand why these guys are still in the scene and why they've gotten the recognition they've gotten all over the globe. well deserved.

Hete aquí el disco que le siguió al experimento personal de 'Juan Manuel', el dúo de Monterrey saco este disco poco editado con varios sencillos que tuvieron video propio y toda la bola. Pero lo sorprendente de este disco son los "otros" temas, mas tranquilos, relajados y grooveros como diría mi amigo Manuel. un disco del 2005 para revisar nuevamente (o por primera vez) y entender verdaderamente porque estos muchachos todavía están en la escena y son respetados internacionalmente. merecido.
