Hello neighbors! Here you have the record that followed the almost personal side project of 'Juan Manuel', this duo from Monterrey put out this record that didn't have the distribution past records had pero had a ton of singles with their own music video and everything. But what's really interesting about this record are the "other" songs, the songs that didn't make it into the radio, the more calm, collected and cool stuff, really groovy stuff. A record from 2005 to revisit or check out for the first time, and to truly understand why these guys are still in the scene and why they've gotten the recognition they've gotten all over the globe. well deserved.

Hete aquí el disco que le siguió al experimento personal de 'Juan Manuel', el dúo de Monterrey saco este disco poco editado con varios sencillos que tuvieron video propio y toda la bola. Pero lo sorprendente de este disco son los "otros" temas, mas tranquilos, relajados y grooveros como diría mi amigo Manuel. un disco del 2005 para revisar nuevamente (o por primera vez) y entender verdaderamente porque estos muchachos todavía están en la escena y son respetados internacionalmente. merecido.

The Main Stuff

Mr. Modo & Ugly Mac Beer's mix CD "Main Stuff" is both relaxing and inspiring. An import only CD from France and/or Japan, these guys make diggin' in the crates fun again. I really love their take on records and the way they layered moods all over the record. All across the world old records are enjoyed once again and filtered through the good taste of these French cats. Enjoy!

El señor Modo & la fea cerveza Mac con su CD mezclado de beats "Lo mas importante" es relajante e inspirador a la misma vez. Disponible solamente como disco importado de Europa y/o Japón, estos chicos renuevan la diversión de revolver discos viejos. Me encanta su forma de samplear y la manera en la que construyen las distintas capas de cada tema, creando distintas atmósferas y climas distintos. Alrededor del mundo discos viejos son disfrutados una vez mas y filtrados a través del buen gusto de estos muchachos franceses. A disfrutar!

Sellin' that stuff...

Sex, Drugs & Ragtime? Here's an interesting compilation on songs from before the end of World War II that had clear drug & alcohol undertones, dating as far back as 1917. It goes to show that music and substance use had been around as long as modern recording technologies have. Not to mention that there's some great tunes and great lyrics in here, including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Cab Calloway singing about their substances of choice. Great find, enjoy!


Sexo, drogas & ragtime? Aquí les traigo un interesante compilado de canciones previas al fin de la segunda guerra mundial con referencias y apologías mas que claras a las drogas y el alcohol, algunas tan viejas como 1917. Esto demuestra que la música y el uso de sustancias casi siempre han ido de la mano, por lo menos desde el comienzo de las tecnologías modernas de grabación de audio. Cabe mencionar que en este compilado hay unos muy lindos tracks y letras, que incluyen a Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald y Cab Calloway cantando sobre sus sustancias favoritas. Un muy lindo descubrimiento, disfruten!
